AP Jungle Warwick

How to play this build

Hungering Strike (Q) scales with AP and heals a ton, so you're a jungler with infinite sustain; with Nashor + Guinsoo you deal hybrid DPS. The ult (Infinite Duress) pins the enemy carry in place for your full combo.

Strengths

  • Brutal jungle sustain: your Q heals, and with AP it hits and restores more, so you rarely recall.
  • Your R is a single-target suppression that can't be cancelled except by QSS or high tenacity.
  • The passive grants attack speed and on-hit healing: you win almost any drawn-out fight.

Weaknesses

  • With your R on cooldown you're fairly harmless between ultimates.
  • You depend on reaching melee range; kiting champions barely fear you.
  • The AP version sacrifices some tankiness: if you get focused, you fall.

Key combos

  • Engage with E → R to lock down the enemy carry → Q to heal while you finish them.

Matchups

You beat

  • Immobile champions (Karthus, Fiddlesticks) who can't escape your R.
  • Junglers without sustain: you lose almost no extended fight.

Trouble vs

  • Champions with QSS or high tenacity that negate your R.
  • ADCs with dashes (Ezreal, Caitlyn) who kite you out.

Game plan

Farm the jungle early abusing your Q sustain; at level 6 start ganking, using R to lock the priority target. Mid game, group with your team and save R for the enemy carry every fight. Late, you're a pick-hunter: suppress the enemy AD or AP and the fight is already won.

Quick tips

  • Save R for the carry, don't blow it on the first tank you see.
  • Use the passive's blood trail to hunt low-health enemies.

Skill order

Max priority:

Q Golpe Voraz W Llamado del Cazador E Olfato de Sangre

Runes

In classic LoL, runes were a system SEPARATE from masteries: bought with IP (Influence Points) and slotted into 4 tiers — Marks (red), Seals (yellow), Glyphs (blue) and Quintessences (purple, the strongest). They gave flat stats: damage, armor, penetration, etc.

Marks (red) Hybrid penetration ×9
Seals (yellow) Armor ×9
Glyphs (blue) Magic resist per level ×9
Quintessences (purple) Attack speed ×3

Magic pen, armor, hybrid AP quints

Masteries: how they work

In classic LoL you have up to 30 points (at level 30) to split across three trees: Offense (damage), Defense (durability) and Utility (mana, cooldown reduction and mobility). The notation 21/0/9 means 21 points in Offense, 0 in Defense and 9 in Utility.

Masteries
21/9/0 — Offense
Why this page
21/9/0 boosts hybrid damage with durability for long fights.
